Chelsea are stepping up their interest in Valencia youngster and Arsenal transfer target Cristhian Mosquera, CaughtOffside understands.
Sources with a close understanding of the player’s situation have informed CaughtOffside that he has a host of suitors as he heads into the final year of his contract.
Chelsea are expected to initiate talks over signing Mosquera soon, but Arsenal have also been monitoring the 20-year-old.
Meanwhile, Mosquera can also count Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig as among the clubs interested in him.
CaughtOffside understands Valencia could be open to selling Mosquera for perhaps as little as €25m in order to avoid losing him on a free in a year’s time.

What next for Cristhian Mosquera as transfer suitors line up?
Chelsea could make sense as a good destination for an elite young talent like Mosquera, as the Blues have made it a key part of their project to build around the best young players in world football.
Mosquera looks like he fits into that category, and he’s already shown what he can do at the highest level with some strong performances in La Liga.
One imagines the Spain international could easily become first choice quite quickly at Chelsea, giving Enzo Maresca an upgrade on the likes of Levi Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Trevoh Chalobah and the injury-prone Wesley Fofana in defence.
