Manchester United’s hierarchy reportedly have no regrets about letting Marcus Rashford leave and go out on loan to Aston Villa in January.

The England international has shown glimpses of his best form again in a Villa shirt, but all in all it perhaps makes sense that the club are still planning for life without him in the long-term.

According to Sky Sports, there are ‘no regrets’ inside Old Trafford, and the Red Devils already have an eye on three potential replacements for Rashford.

The report names Victor Osimhen, Liam Delap and Matheus Cunha as three players on Man Utd’s radar in attack.

It’s also stated that the sale of a homegrown player like Rashford for pure profit should help United bring in two players to replace him.

Manchester United planning to replace Marcus Rashford

It remains to be seen if Rashford will definitely join Villa permanently once his loan comes to an end, but it already seems pretty certain that, wherever he ends up next season, it won’t be back at United.

Even if Rashford is a fine player on his day, he’s had a long career with MUFC and it seems like it was best for everyone involved for both parties to go their separate ways.

The 27-year-old seems to have benefited from a change of scene, while United will probably still feel it’s worth rebuilding their attack.
