Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez is attracting transfer interest from a host of European clubs ahead of the summer, most notably Napoli.
Sources close to the situation have informed CaughtOffside that Napoli have held talks with Nunez’s representatives as they step up their search for a new striker this summer.
The Serie A giants have also been strongly linked with Lille striker Jonathan David, but it seems Nunez is also a concrete target for them as he’s made available by Liverpool.
The Reds are already looking for replacements for Nunez, with Arne Slot keen to build around a new centre-forward to lead his attack next season.

Nunez is also being eyed up by Atletico Madrid, AC Milan, RB Leipzig and Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal, CaughtOffside understands.
So far, Napoli have been prioritising a loan deal for Nunez, and it’s felt that other European clubs might try to do the same.
That could make Al Hilal the most tempting option for Liverpool, in that case, as they’d be willing to spend big money to sign the Uruguay international permanently.
Liverpool are also understood to be open to trying to use Nunez as part of a swap deal if the opportunity arises.
