Bayern Munich very keen on Man City’s €100m target Florian Wirtz

Bayern Munich are keen on bringing Bayer Leverkusen talent Florian Wirtz to the Allianz Arena next summer but the German giants will face strong competition from Man City and Real Madrid.

The 21-year-old is one of Europe’s most exciting talents and has developed rapidly ever since making his debut for the Bundesliga champions in 2020.

Last season highlighted the midfielder’s importance to Leverkusen as the youngster played a huge role in Xabi Alonso’s team winning the league and cup double in Germany. Wirtz featured in 49 matches, scoring 18 goals and assisting a further 20.

Despite a contract at the BayArena until 2027, several clubs had an eye on the German international during the summer transfer window, but the 21-year-old opted to remain with Leverkusen for at least another season.

Reports linked Man City, Real Madrid and Liverpool to Wirtz and it looks like two of these remain interested in the midfielder ahead of the 2025 windows.
